Who is liable for this?

Today I would like to speak to you all on a different note yet still within the sneaker realm. For those of us who collect sneakers rarely knows what takes place as far as the making of the sneaker. We are truly concerned when it comes time for release dates, and we hate to see someone wearing sneakers as though they are the real McCoy. This blog will be dedicated to informing you of 3 situations: Fake sneakers, release date confusion, and child labor

Nike, who is the leader in sneaker sales, has always been accused of having their products made in third world countries where the labor for the work is cheap. Not only that, supposedly it is being done by children of a very young age. Now I know that in some countries yes they allow kids to work at a very young age due to the economy or up bringing. But this issue is something that Nike has been dealing with for quite sometime now from clothes, to sneaker and now its soccer balls. If you have any feedback on this issue let me know.

As we set aside money to be able to get the next pair of Jordan’s, or AF1’s. It seems to amaze most of us when we see someone wearing a pair of sneakers yet to be released and for some reason they just don’t look right. This is the case because they are FAKE! Manufacturers are making replicas of popular sneakers and selling them at a cheaper price. Just like the bootleggers do with designer jeans, purses, and pocket books. I remember this guy tried to sell me a pair of AF1’s the popular summer all white low cuts. They looked like plastic as soon as he took them out of the box. I should have known just by the price that he was asking for them. In the store they run for $65-$80, and all that he wanted was $20. I know people who have got caught up in purchasing these fakes and state that the sole came detached from the sneaker and the rubber turns yellow after a week wear.

Last but not least, hearing about a release date and finding out that it is not true or has been pushed to an earlier or later date. The situation that is at hand is the release of the Lights out SB dunks low. Which are to commemorate the ending of the HBO hit show Entourage. A release date was issued and then it got cancelled. The reason no one knows. Well the rumors are flying again that it will be a QS quick strike release for this month which we will just have to wait and see.
