With 2012 being the Year Of The Dragon, sneaker brands are doing it up with the sneaker releases.

Here we have the Air Jordan 2012 YOTD and honestly they look much better than the Jordan 2012 and the packaging for this sneaker is a 3 drawer box set

Do you have trust in sneaker brands or stores?

Normally when we go shopping for footwear, we are expecting to get a specific item and keep it moving. When controversial events occur like that of the Concord release, NYC Pigeon Dunks, etc... who is to blame the sneaker store, the issuing sneaker brand or those that come in attendance?

It is quite evident that we as collectors take blame since we are the ones that do whatever it takes to get our hands on some exclusive sneakers right? Well actually thats incorrect! As collectors we do not wait outside on lines for hours and expect to get into fights over sneakers that we haven't even purchased yet. Since when has buying sneakers turned into trying to enter a night club!

Sneaker companies know what to expect when they release certain sneakers to few retailers, with very limited quantities.  If I were the sneaker company and had knowledge of the importance of a sneaker release, all it takes is to call a meeting with these retailers that will be carrying the product and have a few simple rules.

1. DO NOT promote that you will carry these sneakers in store
2. On the release date spruce up your security measures, to avoid skipping in line and line bullying
3. Have a computer method of which the customer can purchase the sneaker and come back later to pick up within 24 hrs after purchase or they loose the product. This ensures their safety

This is what I would have done if I owned a sneaker store or was the manufacturer of a sneaker product. Not that these companies don't care about us, but sometimes the color green stands out more that anything.
