We all have noticed the hype that has been amongst us for the past few weeks with the release of the Marty Mcfly Nike’s. When Michael J. Fox emerged with those sneakers in Back to the Future 2 we were all like “ Wow when do those release”. Initially when Nike came up with the sneaker for the movie in 89’, they had plans on releasing this futuristic sneaker in 2015. Now in 2012 they have decided to release the sneaker 3 years early only producing 1500 pairs. All proceeds of sales on this product will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. The purchase of these sneakers is definitely for a good cause, but the only catch to it is that they are too expensive. Hip Hop newcomer Tinie Tempah purchased a pair online at the eBay auction and paid $37,000 for these kicks. Yes you heard it right $37,000, I mean if you had the money to do it would you do it. Most of us cannot, well let me say will not pay $37,000 for a pair of sneakers at least I wont.
Nike needs to, and I am sure they will with so much hype over these, release them in stores with a more reasonable price tag that we are use to paying. The sneaker is a one of a kind, in an entirely different bracket than any footwear that Nike has ever released. With today September 18th being the last day for the auction of the Marty McFly’s, we will see what Nike has in store or has considered on how they will release it in stores. See a sneaker like the McFly, is one of those collectors items that we as sneaker lovers will sacrifice many things to be an owner of these shoes. Lets all cross our fingers and save up some dinero, in the action that these hit the stores.
